Our manufacturing experience and capability dates back over 40 years, with the last 20 from our factory in Sunderland, not far from the iconic Spire Bridge which spans the river Wear. We pride ourselves on constant development and innovation which has seen major investment in additional facilities in the last year including new buildings, factory layout, extraction, biomass heating and systems.

The factory is a proud corporate member of the Kitchen and Bathroom Specialists Association. As a respected trust mark, this sets the highest standards in quality of service; and we are the only producer in the North East to have received this recognition.

Brown and Hood’s association with the North-East goes back 
to the 1800’s. Its illustrious history relates in no small part 
to the skill and ability of the local engineers who built the 
ground-breaking and revolutionary ship the ‘Turbinia’ 
at the Brown and Hood shipyard in 1894.
